Bidster Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Browsing without an account: a random identifier cookie so your swipes, watchlist and preferences work. It is not linked to your name, email, or any off-site identity.
• With an account: your email address and a securely hashed password, plus the activity above.
• When you win or buy: the delivery address you enter for that order.
• When you sell: your shop name, listings, and the ship-from city you declare.

What we do not collect

• No payment card details — payment is not collected in the app.
• No location tracking and no IP geolocation. Delivery estimates are computed on your device from its timezone and never sent to us.
• No advertising identifiers, no cross-site tracking, no analytics SDKs, no data sales to anyone.

How it is used

Solely to run the marketplace: showing auctions, recording bids, fulfilling orders, paying credit rewards, and keeping the chat free of scams. Push notifications fire only for auctions you chose to watch or bid on, and only if you turned notifications on.

Deleting your data

You can delete your account at any time in Profile → Account → Delete. This removes your personal data, history, credit and messages immediately. Completed orders are retained as a record of the sale — with your delivery address scrubbed — as required for basic accounting.
