Bidster Terms of Use

Last updated: September 9, 2026

Community rules, and what breaking them costs

There is no tolerance on Bidster for objectionable content or abusive users. Chat exists so buyers can ask about a lot. Anything else in it is a problem, and the account behind it is one too.

Do not post:

  • Harassment, threats, or abuse aimed at anyone.
  • Hate speech, or content that demeans a person or group over race, ethnicity, religion, disability, sex, gender, or sexual orientation.
  • Sexual content, graphic violence, or anything illegal.
  • Links, phone numbers, email addresses, or any attempt to move a deal off Bidster. This is refused automatically, and it is the most common way people get scammed.
  • Someone else's personal information.
  • Spam, scams, or impersonating another person or business.

Accounts that post any of it are removed from Bidster. We remove reported content and eject the account behind it within 24 hours of a report, and we do not require a pattern first: once is enough.

Reporting and blocking

Every message in a lot's chat carries Report and Block. Reporting sends the message to us for review and takes it off your screen straight away. Blocking hides everything that account has written from you immediately, everywhere in the app, and tells us why you blocked them.

You do not need to wait for us to act before a message stops being your problem. Both controls work on the spot.

Bidding

A bid is a commitment to buy at that price, and it cannot be withdrawn. Swiping never spends money and never places a bid. When an auction closes, the highest bidder buys the lot at the price they bid.

Lots listed by Bidster are sourced from suppliers and shipped to you. Lots listed by sellers are theirs to describe, price, and fulfil.

Your account

One account per person. You are responsible for what happens under it, so keep the password to yourself. You can delete your account at any time from Profile, which removes your delivery address and signs you out everywhere. Completed orders are kept, because a finished sale is a record for both sides rather than one.

Selling

Sellers may not bid on their own lots. Listings go through review before they reach the deck. Describe what you are actually sending.

If we get it wrong

Bidster is provided as it is. We do not promise the service is uninterrupted, and we are not liable for what a third-party seller ships. If your account is removed and you think that was a mistake, reply to the support address and a person will read it.
